Smita Desai, Phd Partner After completing Masters level credits in Special Education from NCSU USA, Smita obtained a Phd in Psychology from Mumbai University. She began work in the pioneering, inclusive environment created by Mrs. R.K. Khariwala at Learners Academy in Mumbai during the early 1990's before going on to set up Drishti in 1994. She has lectured in various colleges and institutions such as SNDT University, Sophia College Mumbai, ADAPT, Dilkush Special School and others. Her published research covers areas of LD, Behaviour disorders, Autism and Speech & Language Development. Smita handles all center based operations of Drishti and is also the key resource person for development and training. Anand Desai, MSc, MA Partner What began as an assistive role in the 1990's soon became a full time occupation when Anand joined Drishti in early 2000. This required re-qualification after his initial post graduate degree in Science (NCSU, USA). He has since obtained a (general) MA in Psychology from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu and other certifications include an ACW in 360 deg assessments from CCL, USA and a Diploma in Sport Psychology from Stonebridge Associated Colleges, UK. Anand handles School and Institution services in addition to organization development & technology integration at Drishti. |
